During the Qing Dynasty, this building used to be the theater where Empress Dowager Cixi (Cixi Taihou) enjoyed opera; however, in 1949 it was transformed into the Ting Li Guan Restaurant. This five-star restaurant is a great place to sample traditional Imperial dishes such as: fish (Gongmen Fengyu); Beijing braised four treasures (Jingpa Sibao); Hongniangzipei; and the three delicacies (Hanmeng Sanxian). Ting Li Guan is located on the grounds of the Summer Palace in west Beijing. Be aware: it isn't cheap.
