The library is one of the largest public libraries in the Beijing Municipality, housing about 3 million volumes, including important collections of classical Chinese poetry, drama, novels, and other literature about Beijing. Memberships are available. The price for borrowing a book is RMB 10. The library is the venue for wonderful lectures on the weekends.
