The key attraction at the Jimei Scenic Area is the Jimei Study Village founded in 1913. It is spread over 25 acres at the foot of Tianma Mountain, and is home to several schools, ranging from primary schools to higher education facilities, which have both academic and vocational training. The buildings are constructed in both Asian and western styles on the edge of the sea and the place been declared a Chinese Cultural Relic.
The Study Village was founded by Mr Tan Kah Kee, whose tomb forms part of the Ao Yuan area, where the Jimei Liberation Monument is another key draw for visitors to the park. An intricately carved long corridor marks the entrance to the park, extending into the garden. Other key features include Dragon Boat Pond, Jiageng Park, Yanping Gulei, and Crocodile Garden.
