Haoyue Park is a sculpture park, built to honor the memory of Zheng Chenggong, a national hero who fought the Qing Dynasty in staunch support of the Ming Dynasty, eventually defeating the Dutch in 1662 to claim Taiwan. A statue of the hero and several sculptures of him lie in the park as do the Fuding Ancient Well, Stele Corridor and Emperor's Palace.
The park encompasses several smaller gardens where visitors can enjoy the landscaped scenery, as well as several villas, popular with tourists who enjoy soaking up the sun on the park's beach.
