Hefei Wildlife Park is located at Dashu Mountain, 10km from the city center, and covers an area of 100 hectares. In the park, visitors can see native and exotic animals in an open environment: a major attraction is the walk-in bird cage, the biggest of its kind in China, covering an area of three square kilometers. Animals on display include both domestic species, including endangered animals like the Siberian tiger and the giant panda, and a wide range of exotic animals.
Note: Sea lion show schedule:
Mon-Fri: 10.00am, 11.30am, 2.30pm, 4.30pm
Weekend: 10.00am, 11.00am, 12 noon, 2.00 pm, 3.30pm, 4.30pm.
Great place to visit, especially for children. For a small zoo, it is wonderful. It is well kept, clean, and the animals are very well cared for. With information signs in both English and Chinese, it is the ideal spot for children to learn English as they learn about the animals and the environment.
